Pastor Adam Schmidt

I am excited to be serving at Crestview Fellowship as the Intern Youth Pastor! Through an internship program at Steinbach Bible College, I am taking this year to explore what it is like to be in a position of leadership in ministry.

I gave my life over to Jesus at the age of nine at an Athletes in Action basketball camp. I started to take my faith seriously when I decided to get baptized at the age of 14. Once I graduated high school in 2014, I felt God leading me to study His Word at Steinbach Bible College. Throughout my four years there, God has drawn me to youth ministry. Thanks to God, various mentors, and Crestview Fellowship, I am grateful for this opportunity to begin a career in ministry leadership.

If I were to have a life motto, it would be "Love God. Love People."

I believe that God sent His Son (Jesus) to live among us and die on the cross for the sins of the world. He did not stay dead, however. On the third day, He rose from the grave, defeating death and taking away the penalty for our sins. This has had a life-changing impact on me. God was willing to give up His life for me, even while I was still caught up in my sin. For this reason, I want to surrender my life to being in communion with Him. I want to love Him with everything I have.

The other half of my "life motto" is to love people. I desperately want others to experience the love, grace, and mercy I have experienced from God. God has put a passion in me to care for people. I want to love others the way God has loved me so that they might get a glimpse of who God is through my actions.
